The East Coast Technical representative will be responsible for working with the east coast sales force in assisting with technical issues and repairs that are beyond the scope of the Belmont IMR and exceed the capabilities of our dental dealers. The Service Rep will be required to assist in training and supporting our internal service department and product managers as well as create and implement a dealer training course for the repair and installation of Belmont Dental Equipment. They will work closely with West Coast Technical representative. They will also be required to attend the set-up and tear-down at selected dental trade shows as well as provide technical support for questions during the trade shows.
Scope of Work
Computer experience needed: Basic knowledge of MS Office, understanding of digital integration of computer files, TWAIN Drivers.
Experience with these tools preferred: Standard industry tools for installation and repair of Belmont Dental Equipment, to include but not be limited to, electrical meters, power tools, wrenches, drivers, levels, etc.
Size of territory: East Coast, traveling is REQUIRED.
Travel time: To be determined: trade show attendance, dealer training, repair work; estimated at 2 days per week. Home base is the corporate headquarters in Somerset, NJ.
Installations: Will be required to assist sales reps and customers with installations on an as needed basis. Type of equipment to be repaired: All Belmont Dental Equipment; including dental chairs, lights, delivery systems, x-rays, cabinetry, stools.
Trade shows: Set up and tear down at trade shows may be required for some shows.
Required education: Industry experience, trade school.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience with either a dental dealer or dental manufacturer or equivalent that has knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, x-ray, plumbing.
Reports to: National Sales Manager. Weekly report of all activities to VP Operations and National Sales Manager.
